You see many different things on trip
Do you like to travel, Micki and I sure do. We been around the world and visited some of the most interesting places you can imagine. I really cannot pick out the most wonderful place, because all the cities and countries had their own special charm and beauty.
India was the most challenging place. In Bombay there are so many people and the drivers using their horns rather than their brakes. When you get away from the big cities you see some of the most interesting old architecture and the women are walking some place all dressed up in the most colorful clothing. It is something you have to see to believe.
Now Singapore is quite a city clean it is. Our guests took us to an eating place in the jungle; it would be hard to call it a restaurant. There was a manmade lake with docks leading to areas to eat. As we were entering this place, which was all outside the was a rather crud screened in enclosure and in it was a rather large snake curled up in the center, but was most interest thing is that on top of the snake was a chicken. Will you can imagine what would happen someday.
We also were attacked by live army personnel. We found out they were training in the jungle, which was kept as a jungle o the army had a place to train. I must say Micki and I were more the a little concerned. But everything turned out OK.
What do these stories have to do about getting ready for a trip a lot actually? As you can see on some of our past journeys all most anything could happen. We are now getting ready to go to Michigan. Who knows what the weather will be like? One of our first stops after the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn Michigan will be in Sault Saint Marie and that is where the locks are that connect Lake Superior to Lake Huron. There is more tonnage that passes through these lock than any place in the world and for some reason I just want to see them.
This time of the year in Michigan’s weather anything can happen. We could get caught up in a foot of snow or it could be 80 degrees. So the type of clothing is a challenge along with trying to see too many of our old friends in to short of time. But somehow I know we’ll make it.
The packing has begun and because we live in South Florida we have to make the house ready for a hurricane. All this will be done by Friday morning and it is off to Michigan.
