Something special

Micki and I went to a special party last night. Our good friends, Linda and Mike, were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. What made the party so special is both our friend are the nicest people in the world. When you’re with them they make you feel so good.

They did not invite cast of thousands, but friends that had played an important part of their lives. One of the special friends was the person who married them. He is a very interesting guy and in his toast he let them know that their marriage will last, because he took their marriage license and put in his safety deposit book, so there would be no way for them to separate. You know a CPA can’t be to careful.

How about this, they have been going out to dinner with the same people every Thursday night for over twenty years and it all started at this chicken place. So they call themselves the Chicken group. The funny things is the chicken restaurant that they always went to has been torn down for years, but that didn’t stop them they just found another place to have dinner together every Thursday night.

Mike and Linda both love to fish. Will let’s put it this way Mike loves to fish and Linda l if she wanted to be around him she had to love fish to.

That is the way they are almost always together. There are a few exceptions. One is when Mike goes fishing with his fishing club and when Linda goes to visit her sister and brother. Don’t think that Mike doesn’t like to visit her sister and brother, but sometimes he just can’t go.

It would be so easy to go on and on about the great stories of Linda and Mike, but I’ll close this by saying, it is my hope, if you’re married, that you can have a relationship as loving as Linda and Mike.
