Being Positive

Being positive is the only way to go. When you’re positive you make things happen. You know other like you because you make them feel good. Making things happen and having people that want to help you is a sure fired receipt for success.

Let look at if we are born positive or is it learned. That has been a question that has puzzled people for ever. It is like the chicken or the egg which one came first. That question might have been solved, but the question of are we born a certain way or do we learn to be positive.

Of course there is one group that believe, the way we were born is the way we are and that, that.

And then there are those that believe that our environment is what molds us. To some extent both school of thoughts are somewhat correct.

It is now believed that our genes play an important part in what we are, but not totally. What we are is a blend of our genes and the environment we grew up in. How much one impacts us is anyone guess.

You have heard the stories about identical twins that were separated at birth. When scientist later study the twins they found that they had many common attributes. But this does not prove that they are truly identical in every way.

Now to go back to the original question are we born positive or do we acquire a positive attitude. It is my contention that we acquire a positive attitude more than we were born with it and here why.

First the people that you were around at an early age have profound effect on your personality. If these People were positive you have a strong change of being a positive person.

Second as you matured and saw how the world worked. You would have probably seen that those that were positive, in general, found live more satisfying than those that were negative, so who doesn’t want to enjoy the world around them.

Being positive makes your life’s journey one of happiness and joy. Here is to being positive, it is good for you.

Why Smile

“The world always looks brighter form behind a smile” Author Unknown. Do you believe this as a true statement, I sure do. Here are some of the reasons not to smile, if you boss or spouse is chewing you out “Don’t’ Smile.”

If you want to feel better, smile. It makes you and others feel good when you give a big heartfelt smile. When you give someone an honest smile take a look at them and you normally find the person gives you a smile back.

What has just happened is you have helped yourself and the person receiving the smile. Both of you inter-feelings have been uplifted. When you and others feel better towards each other, life becomes so much more rewarding.

Smiling does some other things. When you smile you use less muscles in your face, did you know that? When you smile you use only seventeen muscles, but when you frown you use forty three. By smiling you acutely use less energy by using fewer muscles. In fact you use almost on third the muscles.

Here is something to try when you look into the mirror, give yourself smile. It does two things. One it keeps you in the practice of smiling and two when you see your smiley face it makes you feel better. This isn’t a bad way to start the morning. With just doing the mirror routine your day is off to GREAT start.

As the say life will just get better and better in every way and every day. Smile it good for you and others.

One of my new year’s resolutions

I am going to lost thirty five pounds by the end of 2010. I am going to start with motivation training which will help me with physical weight loss. Eating the wrong foods I will not be able to do, so mindfulness eating is going to be what I have to do.

Eating low fat foods is a good start and is also healthy. Eating more fish helps in so many ways. Salmon is great for fish oil which is good for the heart and many other things. This will take some personal motivation on my part, but the results will be worth it.

Personally I like exercise foods. Every morning I have some form of whole grain, fresh fruits and V-8 juice. After breakfast I am set for the morning. Before breakfast I walk for thirty five to forty minutes and four times a week I do some weight programs. I'll also play golf twice a week but they say that doesn't count, but I am moving and appreciate nature.

I have stopped drinking alcohol for many reasons. One it does some bad things to you when you drink too much, like Wight gain, which would go against my new year’s resolution.

Jut so you know today I am two hundred and twenty pounds, so by the end of 2010 I'll be one hundred and eighty five pounds. I'll keep you informed.

Browsers

Getting a real good browser, go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html. Read about it. It has so many great features and it FREE. I don’t get a cent because I recommend it, but I feel good that it will help you enjoy the Internet a better.
I’ll give you one thing I really like about Fire Fox and that is you can save URL’s and here is how you do it. Once you activate Fire Fox, and that is pretty easy, you go to the address bar and put in a URL you want to visit. If you want to get to another URL, but don’t want to lose the first one you just click on file in the upper left hand corner and a drop down will fill in under file. If I am ahead of you just be patient.
The second thing in the drop down is new tab and click on it. Then go to the address bar and key in the URL you want to see. Under the address bar you will see the first URL address you were at. When you want to go back to it just click on it and it will come back.
You can have many URL’s just waiting for you to go back to. This can save you time in using the Internet. This is just one of the many things Fire Fox can help you with.
In a recent article I read that Fir Fox is still the best overall browser and it can take you right into Gmail. I’ll cover Gmail later and you will find out it is amazing.

Is it passion or desire?

There are lots of ideas on what is the different about passion versus desire. You know it all depends on where you are in life. To me passion is something that is burning need to do something or be part of something, while desire is something you want and will drive hard to get tit.

Here is a short story about Bud. He was in a family of seven four boys and three grills. He was the third oldest in the family. His three other brothers where all much taller then him. Bud was five foot eight inch’s, while two of his brothers where over six foot two inch’s and the other was six foot even. The point of this as the story as it unfolds you will see that what make people achieve their desire is a strong passion for what they want to do. Size has nothing to do about it.

In Bud’s case he was also very bright. He saw the future not like many others saw it but he saw the furure as full of opportunities. To get where he wanted to go he had to learn to set goals, which he do. In fact he was very good at smart goal setting. Setting personal goals became important to Bud achieving his desire and passion, he want to have his own business.

Bud didn’t want his business for prestige, though that came as his business prospered. What drove Bud was to do things that people told him he couldn’t’ do. Do achieve is goal of having a successful business he had to a lot of time management planning.

Bud at an early age he had a passion to climb the unthinkable. Bud though driven to achieve his goals, never forgot to take time to smile and smell the roses. He also never forgot his friends. When they had a friend in need Bub would be the first one lend a helping hand.

Bud loved fellowship. When he was younger he played baseball and basket ball with his buddies and latter enjoyed bowling and golf with friends.

You can have strong passion and desire, but as Bud demonstrated you also can enjoy the journey while striving for you passion .
