Be healthy be happy

Have you noticed happy people are generally healthy? Even if their sick they always are in good spirits. One things I they laugh and laugh and laugh some more.

Now for the good part about why you should laugh. Laughter strengthens our immune systems and helps us recover from illness, as well as brings joy into our lives. Now, that’s pretty powerful stuff. And, that is just the beginning.

A good, hearty laugh can help:
• Reduce stress
• Lower blood pressure
• Elevate mood
• Boost immune system
• Improve brain functioning
• Protect the heart
• Connect you to others
• Foster instant relaxation
• Make you feel good

Now we are getting somewhere, but we are not finished by a long shot.
Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases infection-fighting antibodies. It increases our attentiveness, heart rate, and pulse.

That’s good to know. But there is more.

Laughter can be a great workout for your diaphragm, abdominal, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles. It massages abdominal organs, tones intestinal functioning, and strengthens the muscles that hold the abdominal organs in place. Not only does laughter give your midsection a workout, it can benefit digestion and absorption functioning as well. It is estimated that hearty laughter can burn calories equivalent to several minutes on the rowing machine or the exercise bike (and you know how much I love the bike).

If you want your brain stimulated, laugh, because laughing enhances learning. If you want to release muscle tension, laugh. If you are psychologically stressed, laugh. Laughter keeps the brain alert. If you want to retain more information, laugh.
Now we are getting somewhere. Are you ready for more? Well, here we go.

Rather than get upset when things are not going your way, laugh. Laughing helps you, and also the people around you, feel better. If you need to release pent-up feelings of frustration and/or anger, laugh. Laughter is a socially acceptable way to it. When you laugh, you reduce tension, which can be very relaxing.

Are you starting to become a believer? I sure hope so! But, there is still more.
To minimize a situation that is causing you anxiety, visualize a humorous situation.
Laughter helps to bind us together. When we laugh together it helps us become closer to one another. Laughter is better enjoyed when it is shared with others.

If you want to be healed, laugh. Doctors are giving more patients laugh therapy to reduce stress.

We have only touched on laughter as a part of being happy. There is so much more how happiness is good for you and I’ll touch on that later. So for now have a laugh on me and improve your health.

Happiness with health and wealth to you
