Where is my bike

We have all had a bike. There was an age that it is your only form of transportation, except for walking. When you would drive by a school there would by roll and rolls of bikes parked in the bike racks. You could see almost any type of bike. Like a grills bike that would be pink or a Schwin with chrome finders and mud flaps and there would be everything in between as far as style...

Today you see many adults riding their bikes for exercise. For some reason bike riding is not my favored form of exercise. I am not saying it is not good, so if it something you like to do go for it.

If you want to see bike riders go to Asia and India. When I was in India bikes where the main form of transportation. To show how important bikes where I India our supplies that manufactured chucks for us had a bicycle fund for new employees to purchase a bike. I won’t go in to details, but the bikes helped their staff get to work.

Now where is my bike? Well it is not my bike I am talking about but a friend. Like all of us he used his bike until he tells he got a car, and then bike just took up room in his dad’s garage. My friend went off to college and long forgot about his bike. Then one day when he was home on a college break he decided to ride his bike to the beach which was about a half a mile from his house. After searching the garage and not finding his bike. He asked his Dad where my bike is. Oh his Dad said I sold it and sent you a check for what was paid for your bike. “You Got the check” his dad said” Oh I think so”. After thinking a while my friend said to his Dad “I think I drank my bike”.

The moral is always read the fine print when receiving gifts.
