This makes for a great day

Today I and a very good friend, Doug, went back in memory lane. Seven years ago Doug and I started to play golf after over twenty years of not playing. Doug did not want to go to any fancy golf courses, because he didn’t think his games wasn’t good enough and he was right and you know my wasn’t either.

Doug found these public courses that was in expenses and did not have many people playing on it in the afternoons so that’s when we played. There was several draw backs to this golf courses. One the green were so slow that you had to hit golf ball like you hitting your driver and there were as many weeds in the greens as there was grass. Second the fairways weren’t as good looking as a cow pasture.

We played at this golf course for two years and actually got use to it. I was a member of Country Club and I finally convinced to play with me there. The green were wonderful and the fairway didn’t look like a cow pasture. It didn’t take Doug long to get use a fine golf course, so he joined for the summer.

Doug being really conservative with money did not join as regular member after the first summer, but instead joined for another summer the following year. At the end of that summer membership he joined as regular member.

Doug and I never thought we would ever go back and play at old golf course that was in disrepair, but we did because our golf course is being total rebuilt and when finished will be a real show place and a fabulous golf course. There is one problem Doug and I joined another country Club for the summer, but the summer member ship ran out before our course was finished

Doug and I still wanted to play golf, so guess what today we went out to the old golf course we started at seven years ago. The course did change; it is en more disrepair.
You know something the bad shape of the course didn’t bother Doug or me. The day was so beautiful and we both hit the ball so much better than we did seven years ago it was just fun being together laughing and joking and without a doubt having the time of our lives.

What was so wonderful is that we weren’t thinking about the past but just enjoying the present
